No longer are you required to use deposits with invoices. We now allow you to match a journal entry directly with your bank payment w/o using any deposit. This option is enabled by default and you can change back to using deposits by going to Settings > Invoices. You can also change the respective carried balances account in Settings > Connections when only using journal entries.
When you are using the invoices and the receive payment option in QuickBooks and you are sending a "negative" settlement for money you have paid, we now send along an expense. This makes it easier to match match to bank transactions.
We have made some updates to Amazon VCS features, adding the same mapping features we had for Sales/Refunds and included in them in the promotion, shipping income, and gift wrap categories.
When Amazon is not able to calculate a taxable jurisdiction for the order (e.g., not registered for VAT calculation service for the country) we add now add Shipped to XYZ country in the transaction type instead of the taxable jurisdiction. This country is the destination country in the Amazon transactions report.
We are excited to announce the beta release of our VAT Jurisdictional Tracking. If you are a UK/EU seller this feature will allow you to map account and accounting VAT codes based on the registrations you included in when signing up for VAT Calculation Service in Amazon.
You can now merge your VAT amounts back into the matching transaction amount. For example, the principle VAT (Amazon.co.uk Order ItemPrice Tax) is merged back into the principle sale amount (Amazon.co.uk Order ItemPrice Principal).
This makes it easier to assign QuickBooks or Xero VAT codes to transaction types. You will no longer have a remaining liability balance in the "Amazon Sales Tax Collected" account.
You can enable this setting in Settings > Invoice.
